Ministers Catherine Martin and Thomas Byrne have announced a record €4 million investment in the Women in Sport Programme for 2024!
45 National Governing Bodies will receive allocations totalling €2m, the Irish Judo Association has received funding of €30,000 in 2024 to implement the Join our Journey in Judo programme. The Irish Judo Association moves forward following the Change the Numbers campaign to highlight three key areas in programme development of Active Participation, Leadership & Governance and Coaching & Officiating.
We were delighted to have Sarah O’Gara a young and upcoming female referee within the Association present at the Sport Ireland announcement who was also in attendance with our WIS Chair, Antoinette Earl.
