While Women in Sport Week officially ended on Sunday, the celebration of women in judo continues all year round!
In recent years, we have seen incredible progress in female participation, leadership, and achievement within Irish Judo. From our youngest judoka stepping onto the tatami for the first time, to experienced coaches and referees shaping the sport, women continue to make an invaluable impact at every level.
💬 “Strong women lift each other—on and off the tatami.”
Let’s keep supporting and inspiring the next generation of female judoka. Whether through mentorship, training, competition, or simply encouraging more women and girls to participate, every effort counts.
A huge thank you to all the incredible athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers who make judo a welcoming and empowering sport for women. Your contributions do not go unnoticed!
💜 Judo is stronger when everyone is included. Let’s keep building a future where more women thrive in the sport we love!
