The Irish Judo Association (IJA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Sami Smithson as the new Operations Officer – Performance Team.
In this role, Sami will be responsible for the clerical, logistical, and stakeholder administration required to support the IJA Performance Team. Working closely with the National Performance Lead and Performance Team, she will play a crucial role in preparing Ireland’s judoka for the 2028 Olympic Programme.
Sami brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for programme delivery from an administrative perspective. Her extensive knowledge will be instrumental in helping the Performance Team execute a structured and effective performance pathway, ensuring that athletes and coaches are fully supported as they compete on the European and International stage.
