The Irish Judo Association, through its Women in Sport Commission, was delighted to support female coaches in gaining valuable international coaching experience at the Valencia Training Camp in Spain in August 2026.
For Iwona Osenkowska, a Level 2 coach currently working towards IJF Academy UCJI status, and Grainne Murphy, a Level 1 coach, the camp provided an excellent opportunity to further develop their coaching skills, broaden their experience and gain valuable insight in an international training environment.
For our female athletes from across the country, the Valencia Training Camp provided a valuable opportunity to develop their skills, challenge themselves in a high-level training environment and gain important experience to support future competition preparation. Beyond the mat, the camp also allowed the girls to build confidence, strengthen friendships and create lasting connections with fellow judoka as they continue their Journey in Judo.
There is also lots of time for birthday cake and relaxation!!
