Amaze Athlone Judo Club – Westmeath
On behalf of the President Ms Sylvia O’Flynn, the IJA Executive Board, our clubs, and our members, we would like to welcome Amaze Athlone Judo Club to the Irish Judo Association.
Head Coach Lydia Ritchie, 6th Dan, is very excited to establish a new judo club in Westmeath as part of the Irish Judo Association. Lydia is a well-known and highly respected figure within the judo community, working closely with the Veterans Commission and actively engaging with the Women in Sport Commission. As one of only a small number of female-led clubs within the Association, Lydia’s new club represents an exciting opportunity to strengthen female leadership at club level while supporting the growth and development of judo in Westmeath, a county that has been without a judo presence for several years.
We are delighted to welcome Amaze Athlone Judo Club to the Association & the very best of luck to Lydia and her team in Westmeath.
