In accordance with the Company Act and the Irish Judo Association Constitution, notice is hereby
given for the Connacht Judo Council AGM 2026.
The Meeting will be held at Trappers Inn, Tuam Rd, Galway, H91 T88H on the 28th of March 2026 at 17:00.
The provincial board for 2026 will consist of the following key roles:
Elections:
1. Chairperson
2. Vice Chairperson
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer
5. 2 Provincial Representatives – each Provincial Region will elect two (2) persons of different
gender to sit on the IJA Executive Committee (can hold any provincial officer positions or
none).
Order for Annual General Meetings
The meeting will be confined to items on the agenda. Items to be added to the agenda should be requested in advance via email to the Secretary.

● Quorum
● Reports – Council Report (incorporating Chair and Treasurers Report)
● Election of Provincial Board and Representatives
● Q&A
Apologies:
Clubs unable to attend are requested to send their Apologies to the Secretary via email.
Nominations:
All nominations and seconds plus any proposed resolutions (nominated and seconded) should be forwarded to the Provincial Representatives in writing to connachtjudosecretary@gmail.com at least 14 days in advance of this meeting by the compliant clubs representative. Save to the extent that the IJA’s constitution provides otherwise, the accidental omission to give notice of a meeting to, or the non-receipt of notice of a meeting by, any person entitled to receive notice shall not invalidate the proceedings at the meeting.
