The IJA has received an update from Sport Ireland regarding the impact of the Irish Government announcement on Covid19 on the 29th of June regarding pausing indoor sport and contact judo for the 26 counties, the July 5th proposals have been paused provisionally until July 19th.

From July 5th, the following is permitted:

·        Numbers permitted at outdoor events can increase as planned, to a maximum of 200 attendees for the majority of stadia, and to 500 for stadia/venues with capacity greater than 5,000, with appropriate protective measures.

The following is not yet permitted:

·        Indoor activities, such as organised events, return of group training, exercise and dance classes will not yet proceed. It is anticipated that this will be a short-term delay, provisionally until July 19, pending the development of an appropriate risk-management system by Government.

We have updated our IJA Return to the Mat Protocols to reflect the pausing of the 5th of July changes until the 19th of July.

Please note the different dates and protocols within each jurisdiction.
