The IJA has received an update from Sport Ireland regarding the impact of the Irish Government announcement Covid19 on pausing indoor sport and contact judo scheduled to restart on the 19th of July for the 26 counties. Initial activity was paused until July 19th with further announcements on the matter expected. There have been no further announcements or expected timelines indicated as of yet which has resulted on activity remaining on pause.
When updates on indoor activity are available, they will be relayed to the sector as they are announced.
The following is not yet permitted:
· Indoor activities, such as organised events, return of group training, exercise and dance classes will not yet proceed. It is anticipated that this will be a short-term delay, pending the development of an appropriate risk-management system by Government.
We have updated our Return to the Mat Protocols to reflect the pausing of the 19th of July updates.
