The Irish Judo Association successfully applied to Sport Ireland for Women in Sport funding in 2019, the programme & funding will be broken into two parts:

1. The IJA National Programme for WIS projects 2. The IJA Club Programme for WIS projects

Clubs are invited to apply for WIS funding for 2019, the Funding Guidelines and Application is attached for you in PDF format, email the IJA office for the Word version

Irish Judo WIS Funding Guidelines & Application

Applicants must adhere to the guidelines of this programme and deviation from same will not be permitted, you do not have to apply for funding in all four target areas but Targets Area Objectives should be sustainable within whichever target area you choose. This programme does not fund Provincial Squad, National Squad or High Performance pathways for women.

Please note with regards to the Coaching Element of this programme, the coach must be a qualified IJA/Sport Ireland Level 1 or Level 2 coach.  All coaches and volunteers running an approved programme must be Vetted, must have Safeguarding 1 and hold a valid IJA licence, applications will be automatically rejected if the relevant personnel involved do not have Vetting, Safeguarding & IJA licence. Successful Applicants must keep receipts for all income & expenditure as funding from Sport Ireland requires an audit trail to ensure adherence to correct financial procedures.

Close date for 2019 funding applications is the 30th November 2019, further funding applications for 2020 will be announced at a later date next year.
