Second Japanese Ambassador’s Cups – All Ireland’s 2018
The Irish Judo Association was delighted to have the Japanese Embassy present the Second Japanese Ambassador’s Cup celebrating the 61st year of Diplomatic Relations with Japan & Ireland.
The First Ambassador’s Cup was first presented 11 years ago at the Irish Open celebrating 50 years of Diplomatic Relations with Japan & Ireland, last year the Second Ambassador’s Cup was presented to the All Ireland’s to celebrate 60 years of Diplomatic Relations with Japan & Ireland.
The Ambassador’s Cup is for the Male & Female Player of the Day and this year the Male Player of the Day was Eoin Fleming from Yamakwai Judo Club and the Female Player of the Day was Wiktoria Ochala from Swords Judo Club. We were delighted to have Mr Watanabe from the Japanese Embassy present the two cups to Eoin & Wiktoria with IJA President Mr Seán Fleming.
