Heart of England 2019 – Victories for Ireland
The Irish Judo Association had eight Judoka fighting in the UK this weekend at the Heart of England. Great performances from everyone fighting with real heart and passion. Two golds, two silvers, a bronze and two 5th place finishes in total.

Silver Dylan McGrath Bushido Judo Club – Cadet boys
Silver Ava Usanov Swords Judo Club – Pre-cadet girls
Bronze Penny Wells Lion Judo Club – Senior women
Also 5th place finishes for Alex Usanov Swords Judo Club & Yenuli Cooray Lion Judo Club both fighting in cadets.
A good weekends results and a lot of experience gained, great performances for Conor Murray Lion Judo Club and Shauna Simpson Lion Judo Club although not reaching the medals, both fighting with the skills and courage that it takes to compete abroad.
