Further to the Irish Government announcement on Wednesday evening 14th October 2020 in relation to Covid-19 measures being introduced in Donegal, Cavan & Monaghan under Level 4 of the Living with Covid-19 Plan, please be advised that judo clubs in the counties of Donegal & Cavan are instructed to close as of midnight Thursday 15th October 2020 until midnight on Thursday 12th November 2020. These restrictions are in place for 4 weeks.

Further to the Stormont Executive announcement on Wednesday evening 14th October 2020 in relation to Covid-19 measures being introduced in Northern Ireland under their Covid-19 plan, all indoor sporting activity is prohibited for contact sport with exemptions only for elite athletes, therefore all judo clubs within the 6 counties of Northern Ireland are instructed to close as of Friday 16th October 2020 until Friday 13th November 2020.

All judo clubs in the above-mentioned counties should remain closed and not be reopened until further notice. The situation will then be reviewed or updated based on further Government announcements. It is important to note that any IJA member that resides within these counties who is a member of an IJA Club outside these county limits cannot attend judo classes irrespective of where that club is based, likewise IJA clubs outside the listed counties above cannot allow nor invite an IJA member who is a resident of these counties to attend their judo classes.

Please be advised that all other IJA clubs throughout the country must remain vigilant and abide by the current guidelines applicable to your jurisdiction. We will endeavour to keep all our clubs informed of any new guidance.

Seán Fleming
